Falafel with sweet potato
240 g
Falafel has its origin in the Middle East, where the healthy balls are still a regular on the menu. Yet falafel is becoming increasingly popular in our kitchens, too.
just. falafel is …
✔️ perfect to enjoy with the entire family
✔️ your go-to option for lunch and dinner, as an after-school snack or an appetizer
✔️ healthy, because it has plenty of veggies and grains
✔️ vegan (so it contains no cow’s milk either)
Tips:
✔️ add sauce for extra yumminess: yogurt for the little ones, and a garlicky version for the adults!
✔️ because our falafel balls are filled with kid-friendly vegetables (sweet potato and spinach), even the fussiest eaters will love their share of chickpeas.
Ingredients
Cooked chickpeas* (35%) (chickpeas*, water), sweet potato* (28%), OAT flakes*, sunflower oil*, red bell pepper*, onion*, breadcrumbs* (WHEAT flour*, salt, yeast, turmeric powder*),
sea salt, lemon juice*, garlic*, paprika powder*, rosemary*.
*= organic cultivation. May contain traces of soy, eggs, milk, mustard, nuts, sesame and lupin.

Cooking directions
Take the falafel balls out of the packaging and heat them for 8 minutes in an air fryer, for 3 minutes in a regular fryer, or for 8 minutes in a pan. If you opt for the latter cooking method, make sure the oil or butter is sufficiently hot before adding the balls, fry them briefly over a high heat to get a crispy crust, and then turn the heat down to let the filling heat up further.
